Well I started writing this last month and then I updated my computer and thought I had lost my data base but then I found it yesterday. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. I certainly did as I managed to have a few days away and visited our daughter in Queensland and caught up with some family and friends. I came home feeling very refreshed.
Some of you will know that I am also a nurse and when I can I go to work at our Private hospital that has 2 campuses. Between them I work on either of the 4 medical or surgical wards. This keeps my nursing skills updated. I also still love looking after sick people, its great to catch up with old nursing colleagues and make new friends. Our daughter in now following in my footsteps and is doing her nurses training in Queensland.
Our son is still working at the Casino as a gaming attendant and getting plenty of work.
My dearest youngest sister was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She is currently undergoing 16 chemo treatments and will then require surgery, radiotherapy, more surgery and then a reconstruction in 12 months. Luckily all of the skin care products that I use here are suitable for oncology clients so I can support her with skin care and she can continue to look fantastic as she goes through this journey. http://www.dermaviduals.com.au/what-my-skin-needs/oncology-aesthetics/
Supporting Launceston feeding the homeless.
For those of you who are not on Facebook, a wonderful lady called Kirsten started feeding the homeless 6 nights a week at Royal Park from 5.30 to 6.30pm every night except for Saturday. She asks for food and sometimes clothing donations. They have a barbecue each evening and are given some food for the next day. How amazing is this? The support from local people and businesses has been fantastic. Well I asked for your support and wow did you come through with the goodies. My dining room was overflowing and we filled up a trailer and delivered it to the warehouse in Invermay. Thanks to my husband Andrew for delivering it there and to Margaret and Alison who helped unpack and sort it. Kirsten was absolutely so excited to receive all the donations.
Everyone who donated went in the draw to win some great prizes. Tracey was the lucky winner of the Easter hamper, Yvette won a facial, Miss Pat won the gorgeous blanket donated by Suzy from Lizzy’s blanks, Jackie took home some wine from Sharman’s wines and Claire a SCENAR therapy treatments from the lovely Rebekah at SCENAR Therapy Tasmania. For more information about these please click on the links.
It is with much sadness that after Easter beautiful young Lizzy who we supported last year passed away 3 weeks before her 18th birthday. Her mum Suzy has been busy making blankets to help support the family while Lizzy was so sick. She has now decided to close down the making of these beautiful blankets and sell them at a reduced price. Let me tell you they are so cuddly and snuggly, made in a pet free and smoke free home. If you get the chance to buy one or more please do so. https://www.facebook.com/LizzysBlanks/

ANTI WRINKLE TREATMENTS
Our next dates for these treatments are Saturday 9th and 10th June. After that our doctor will be taking a well deserved break and our next date will then be 9th September. These days are always very popular so if you would like an appointment please book in with me.
DERMAVIDUALS AND LED.
For any of you that have been here and experienced a facial or Collagen Induction Therapy, you will know that I include LED treatments with them. If you haven’t had a facial I would suggest you treat yourself to one of these customised treatments and enjoy a relaxing treatment. LED stimulates the mitochrondria (think of it as your battery charger of your cells) and this helps with cellular communication under your skin, increased penetration of products into your skin and the healing effect of Light emitting Diodes which helps to stimulate collagen production. https://www.dermaviduals.com.au/led-dermaviduals/

Thank you to everyone that keeps supporting and recommending my business to your family and friends. Thank you for the amazing support you all give to our chosen charities also.
Enjoy your long weekend this weekend. Stay safe on the roads if you are traveling. I will be having Monday 12th June off also. I will also be doing some reduced hours from 19th to 26th June as Emma will be home and I will be spending some quality time with her.
Finally remember to check your breast regularly and if you notice any thing untoward get it looked at and if you are still concerned get another opinion. Don’t leave it too late. The earlier the diagnosis the better your prognosis.
Remember don’t be hairy, come see Mary
