March 2015 news

I cannot believe it is already March. Where did January and February go? Welcome to the new subscribers to my newsletter. I hope you find something of interest in it for you.
Family news: It was my daughter’s graduation of her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science on Valentines day. My husband and I were lucky enough to be able to spend a few days in Queensland and attend the celebrations.

Remember I can also do an advanced skin analysis to see what your skin is lacking in and this helps me prescribe products that will help with your skin. The only requirement is that you have clean dry skin 2 hours prior to your appointment. http://www.pastiche.co.nz/PDFs/PDM-promo.pdf

ANTI WRINKLE TREATMENTS
Dr. Hoyle. The next date will be the 14th March 2015 and this day is booked out. His next date is Saturday 18th April.

He is here once a month on a Saturday to do anti wrinkle treatments, fillers, treatments for excessive underarm sweating (hyperhydrosis) and skin consultations. If you have a skin lesion you are concerned about please book in and get it checked. Better to be safe than sorry. He has already picked up and treated basal and squamous cell carcinomas on clients whilst doing treatments here. He is based in Hobart, so not a fly in, fly out doctor. He is a cosmetic dermatology physician. He offers a friendly, professional consultation, will give you his recommendations and quote you a price before doing any treatment. For further information on his treatments please check out his web page here. http://www.cascadeaesthetics.com.au/

These days book out fast so please book in soon if you would like an appointment to see him.

FOLLICULITIS
This is something that I have been seeing recently.
Folliculitis: An infection or inflammation of the hair follicles of the skin. Inflammation of the hair follicles can occur when the skin is disrupted or inflamed due to a number of conditions, including acne, injuries, friction from clothing, excessive sweating or exposure to toxins. The symptoms vary and include small, red bumps or blisters around hair follicles, blisters filled with pus, or itching and tenderness of the involved area. When the deeper parts of the hair follicle are involved a painful lump or mass may be felt.

Ladies if you shave or exfoliate. Please change your razors regularly and wash your exfoliant gloves or cloths regularly. If you keep them in the shower area it is a moist, warm environment and can breed bacteria which you then spread each time you shave or exfoliate. I am currently seeing more of this on clients, hence my post. Not a pretty picture I know.

If you have any of these symptoms please see your doctor for diagnosing and treatment.

For those of you that are on instagram I have now started on this platform also. If you wish to follow me you will find me as marys_skincare. A lot of people are telling me they would rather instagram than facebook so I will give it a try.

That is all my news for this month. Until next time I see you stay safe, keep smiling, thank you for recommending my business to your family and friends and thank you for taking the time to read this.
Remember don’t be hairy, come see Mary.
