Poikiloderma of Civatte. Perfume and aftershave cautions

Do you spray perfume or after shave onto your neck? If you do this some of you may end up with brown pigment marks on the sides of your neck. (Poikiloderma of Civatte). Sunlight will burn some of the ingredients into your skin causing permanent damage. It can be treated with Intense Pulsed Light to help lighten it but will always have the potential to come back, especially with exposure to sunlight. The old advice of a dab on your inner wrist and behind your ears was the correct way of applying your perfume. Wear your sunscreen and yes dermaviduals the products I stock do have sunscreens.
